This may be a long shot, but since this is the 45th anniversary of the show starting,August 6th,1988 could be used as a B show to commemorate the end of Casey's first run. I'll throw that out there as a crazy prediction. Not a bad idea, particularly as a B show. It's unlikely to be an A, since it was aired just two years ago and now it would come on the heels of June and July 1988.

Why DID Premiere give us another '88 show, just 5 weeks after the last 1? Didn't make sense! Hell I could go for 87 or 88 every month. So could I. Great years in music. I wouldn't mind a 1989 show but that's obviously not going to happen. This week's WT40 is a 1989 show. We have to be happy with that, I guess.

What stations are confirmed as airing 1980 this weekend? The only station that confirmed 1980 is WRIT (Oldies 95.7). It is the 3-hr version. WEZG will likely play 1980, but that is Sunday night at 9 pm. KGOR going w/1988. Doesn't WRIT just play the last three hours? KGOR had previously played the "B" show the last 6 times. KOLA & WMGN are both playing 1988.

SWR just did an ad saying they are doing the 1988 show.

I know they don't do guest host shows but I think enough 80's stations would play the July 30 1988 show with Hall & Oates as hosts since most of them play Hall & Oates.

Acknowledging they don't do it, why would you then think they would then do it? It has been stated by those in the the know that aside from the rare tribute show, guest hosts wont happen. 8+ years and its happened twice. Both for legendary folks who had passed. And both shows offered as alternates. Plus, on top of that, the Hall and Oates show is awful.

I've got the right to comment on Premiere's choices if I want to.

I've got the right to comment on Premiere's choices if I want to. Dave... You have the right to comment about anything you want to here but that fact the nine people liked JMW's critique of your 1988 post within the first 12 hours after he posted it should tell you something. Maybe it's time to be less critical and simply enjoy the shows.

Why DID Premiere give us another '88 show, just 5 weeks after the last 1? Didn't make sense! Not only did Premiere give us July 9, 1988 five weeks after the previous 1988 offering, but that previous offering from June 11, 1988 occurred four or five weeks after the previous 1988 airing, from May 7 of that year. I agree with JMW, we should be grateful that retro AT40 is on the air.

Haven't heard on what KOKZ will run,but 1980 is my best guess. KOKZ has been adding some 87 and 88 songs to their playlist recently so now anything is possible.

Why can't stations give us extras that are proportionate to the decade of the shows? Don't know ANY of these extras that are given us, while the local ads play.

Mike and others that are curious, no Premiere did not cut out Casey mentioning the #1s on other charts because he never did. Seems to me that has happened 2 or 3 times in 1988.

KLDZ also went with 1988. KOOL also went with 1988.

Dave, I know that i have personally answered this question for you several times. The online filler is preprogrammed. It reflects the station playlist. They likely do not even have the capability to go in and add/change them to fit a four hour show they air once a week. Nor does it matter.

So is it known what other stations, besides WEZG, are playing the 1980 show this week?
