When "Daydream Believer" was originally released in 1967,it spent three weeks at #1-FYI:The flip side "Goin'Down" is equally as good.

It's a shame that In Your Eyes didn't chart higher. I forgot it was originally released in 1986. I think most people associate that song with the movie Say Anything and that scene of John Cusack holding the boombox over his head, great song anyway.

Optional extra predictions for the 11/24/84 show:
* "Easy Lover" by Philip Bailey * "You're The Inspiration" by Chicago * "Neutron Dance" by The Pointer Sisters * "Two Tribes" by Frankie Goes To Hollywood (curveball pick)
What a great set of debuts on this show... Madonna's "Like A Virgin" (#1), "All I Need" by Jack Wagner (#2), "Run To You" by Bryan Adams (#6), and "Born In The USA" by Bruce Springsteen (#9) all hit the Top 10. The other debut, Toto's "Stranger In Town" should have peaked higher than #30. Looking forward to a great countdown.

Is WGHN broadcasting a football game? It's well after 5 PM central, and AT40 isn't on yet.

WGHN is one of my go-to stations for Classic AT40, but during college football season, I always google "Michigan State football schedule" before planning out my dar.fm recording schedule for the weekend. The Spartans had two weekends off (September 13 and November 1), but '80s AT40 has been pre-empted almost every other week this football season. I don't remember last year being quite this bad; Michigan State has had a very good team this year, and they may have played an unusually large number of games in Saturday night prime time as a result.
Michigan State has two more weeks in the regular season (with a postseason bowl game likely to follow). The times for both upcoming games are currently shown as "TBD".

Interesting how early in the 11/8/86 AT40 Casey offered a correction to his answering of an earlier question about acts with #1 hits named after cities, citing his omission of the Kingston Trio. Then at the end of the show he has to add Boston to the list.

The 11/22 game against Rutgers is now showing as noon Eastern on the Michigan State football website. 11/29 against Penn State is still listed as TBA. However, there is also another slightly-possible game before the bowls -- the 12/6 Big 10 championship game. If I have this right, MSU would have to win its last 2 games and Ohio State would have to lose both of theirs for MSU to make the Big 10 title tilt.

Since the Ohio St./Michigan game on 11/29 will start at noon, my best guess is that the MSU/PSU contest will air later that day; the kickoff time will be announced tomorrow morning around 11:30.
