So does anyone know the answer I to the question I asked about Cher? Is she the only one?

So does anyone know the answer I to the question I asked about Cher? Is she the only one? Michael Jackson just barely pulled it off (maybe wrong choice of words) when "You Rock My World" peaked at #10 in 2001. He was 43 at the time.

Talk about a fascinating fact, maybe one of the best bits of trivia on AT40. Michael still didn't beat Cher obviously he did not reach his 50's sad to say. If Cher is going to reach the Top 10 in her 60s it'll have to be from her latest album released in 2013. Two of the singles did reach Top 10 on Billboard's Dance Chart. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Closer_to_the_Truth_(Cher_album)

Very interesting coincidence that Joan Jett & The Blackhearts turned out to be the musical guest last night for Drew Carey's hosting of the Late Late Show (actually promoting new material). And as it happens, the two years we guessed most were the only two years they'd have been featured this weekend.

He did, barely. Died at 50, two months before he would have turned 51.

My optional extra picks for the 4/10/1982 show:
* "Fantasy" by Aldo Nova * "Man On Your Mind" by The Little River Band * "Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny)" by Elton John * "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell
Eight debuts on this week's show with four of those songs hitting the Top 5... great set of songs.

Please forgive me if the following question is inappropriately presented here, but I just could not justify creating a new thread for such a random, minor query...
I am seeking a show from what I think almost has to be from April or May of 1985 that features Casey's brief yet poignant introduction of The Commordores hit Nightshift - his leading statement was something like (quoting a band member) 'The song could have been about anyone... but we wanted it to be about these two.'
The song is one of my absolute favorites and I would really welcome having this particular show in my collection, so if anyone can offer any insight, I would be most grateful!
Thank you so much!!

Thank you so much!! It's from the 5/4/1985 show, which aired in 2012.

Didn't see that coming. In truth, it does have the unusual distinction of being available as an OE for four full months even using Premiere's most traditional standard for optional extras (a song moving up the Hot 100 eventually to reach the top 40), with the bonus quality of being widely known and played today.

Predictions for next week's show:
1st Guess: 4/11/87 2nd Guess: 4/12/80
Bumping up the previous week's predictions by a week since we're getting 4/10/82 this week (which was the show I initially thought would be played the weekend of April 12th).
