I have a Hitachi boombox connected to an Innovative Technology Aviator 5 in 1 Turntable with CD Recorder (http://www.audiobuys.net/Innovative%20technology/2624.htm)(from the boomboxes headphones jack to the 5-in-1's aux input).
These 5-in-1's can record from the 78/45/33RPM player, cassette or from the aux hook-up. They can be found at most Kohl's stores that I've seen, it was originally marked $259.99, on sale a month or two ago for $189.99, and I used a 30% off coupon for the actual purchase.
I just 'officially' got the 5-in-1 yesterday for Christmas, so I'm experimenting this week to see how it records before I 'go live' trying to download from terrestrial, over-the-air CKWS in Kingston. I'll be burning to CD first, then into MP3 format if the sound quality is good enough. From there I'll utilize the Media Splitter/Joiner and Audacity programs that others here have so graciously educated me about.
