On this week's 1986 show, Casey said the female acts with the most 80s Top 40s were Diana, ONJ, and Pointer Sisters. The only one of the three to ever have another top 40 would be the Sisters, later that year when Goldmine was everything but, scratching the bottom of the countdown for three weeks.

Noticed that, as well as Madonna being in then-fourth place, mentioned by Casey. She, of course, would wind up the '80s champ. Figured Whitney would also wind up in the top 3, but not quite: She would end the '80s with 10 top 40 records, one behind the Pointers and Olivia tied for third with 11 each. Diana would wind up second with 12, two behind Madonna's '80s total of 14.

On this week's 1979 show, Turbo Casey mentions Orleans is an old band signed to a hot new label, Infinity Records. Infinity was anything but, going belly up within a year.

Add Hot Chocolate's final Top 40 hit, "Every 1's a Winner" to the short list of Infinity hits.

A mild jinx occurred on 5/6/72 when Casey said, "It's on its way", of Paul Simon's "Me and Julio Down By the Schoolyard", playing on a line in its chorus as it moved up to #25. But it only moved three notches higher before peaking and dropping.

On this week's 1980 show, Casey said with his expensive hotel habits, it was a good thing Joe Walsh was in the world's most successful rock band. It would be 14 long years before Eagles would reunite and reach the top 40 again after their live Seven Bridges Road later that year.

On this week's 1976 show, Casey said Silver Convention was 'shooting for another #1 song' with a hot one. They would Boogie at #2 but could not Get Up to the summit.

On the re-broadcast of the May 11, 1974 show--Casey said at the close of Marvin Hamlisch's 'The Entertainer' that the song moved from #11 to #4 and that it was definitely headed to #1. Well, not on Billboard--the song peaked at #3 but it did make it to the top of the Cash Box chart. If I recall correctly, the outro to songs was left up to Casey to sort of ad-lib--so I guess he made that prediction on his own. I do know that at some point, the intro and outro was scripted but I think that didn't start until later.

A Shadoe jinx: when Tiffany entered the top ten with "All This Time," he notes that she "hasn't missed the top ten yet."
She would never even come close again.

Maybe Casey jinxed Roger Voudouris in this week's show (5/19/79) when he read off Roger's quotes about how he believed that he'd be bigger than Frank Sinatra or Johnny Mathis--"In five years I'll just be starting". Even the song exuded this sort of confidence: "You better get used to it, 'cause I'll be around". This was of course his only top 40 hit.

Roger Voudouris sounded like the "Terence Trent D'Arby of the 70's", although at least Terence had 3 Top 40 hits including the #1 "Wishing Well". Casey had taken several jabs at Voudouris during his chart run.
