Not a title, but a catchphrase from the show in a lyric: "When Alexander called you, you said he rang your chimes"--"The Love You Save", J5. I also felt "Gimme Dat Ding" by Pipkins used some catch phrases from the show, especially "Ya wanna make an old man happy?" Yes! Also 'gotcha!' Both from Arte Johnson's 'old man' character in sketches with Ruth Buzzi.

Casey: "That's Dobie Gray, sounding like Joe Cocker..." Uh, sorry Casey, but Dobie Gray sounded NOTHING like Joe Cocker

I'm thinking that the guy who sang the low notes on "Gimme Dat Ding" did a fantastic impression of Tyrone who was a regular character on "Laugh-In". The guy that sang the low notes on "Gimme Dat Ding" was "Mr. One Hit Wonder" Tony Burrows (Edison Lighthouse, White Plains, Brotherhood Of Man, First Class). Roger Greenway sang the high notes. He co-wrote the Fortunes "You've Got Your Troubles", Hollies "Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress)", and The New Seekers' "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing (in Perfect Harmony)" among many others. His songwriting partner for the most part was Roger Cook. Albert Hammond and Mike Hazelwood co-wrote "Gimme Dat Ding".

Next weekend will be the 3rd. year in a row 4/8/1978 was played as a B show. 4/8/78 has a pretty weird Premiere history: it was aired by itself each year from 2007-09, then again in 2012, and never since as the main show. But then ten years later it was brought back as a B for three straight years?

How many shows in either series has not been an A show for at least 10 years? Regular shows only.

I missed the beginning of WPNC's marathon, but it looks like Bill Benjamin went waaay back in the vault and dug up Premiere's 2009 year-end countdown offerings: the currently-playing 1977 Top 40, and the 1976 countdown played earlier this morning.

Now they’re playing the top 100 of 1979, starting with the first half that Ken Martin constructed.

So I am hoping the person posting and probably creating the Billboard top 100 countdowns on YouTube posts the 1979 one at some point. Has posted 1975 and 1978 recently.

I've been recording them ever since.
