Hey Jd - I didn't see the optional extras listed anywhere yet, so I assumed it was ok to go ahead and list them - since it looks like everyone had already guessed at the optional extras, I didn't want to spoil it for anyone. I think I must have just about every 1978 show by now - it seems I hear one from that year about every other week (between Premiere and XM). I can understand everyone's sentiments about not hearing any 1979 shows - that's probably the year I have the least number of shows - the only month I don't have any from is February 1979.

What really bothers me is, didn't they just play a show from 1978 — Feb. 25, to be exact? If I'm right, this is the first time we've had only a two-week gap between countdown programs in a single year. Reminds me of the AT40 Flashback era, when there were several occasions of spacing shows from the same year just two weeks apart. Usually, this was a case of last-minute adjusting, due to production problems or policy changes on the management part (like when they decided to nix shows from the first two years of the 1980s).

Is WGTK Louisville blacking out AT40-70s on its Web feed? Any time I try to listen during the show, all I get is dead air. It works perfectly during the right-wing talk (Medved, Gallagher, Gibson) that's usually on this station.

I'd say it's finally time for a 1973 show. Likewise, I'd call for March 24, 1973.
As of last weekend, Premiere has now just aired one program from the time span running from May 1972 through March 1973 — that being the Dec. 16, 1972, show. Why?[/b] Hopefully, they make up for it this coming year.
(Although it would be not suprising to hear another 1978 show, just a week apart. With Premiere tending to love 1978, and now having aired programs from just two weeks apart, it would not be suprising to me to hear March 18, 1978. But March 24, 1973, remains my guess as to this week's show.)

Sigh. Premiere's disrespect for the 1972-1973 timeframe, with only one show aired from an entire 10-month span, sadly continues. Oh well, predicted extras for our upcoming show: • "Midnight at the Oasis" by Maria Muldaur. • "You Make Me Feel Brand New" by the Stylistics and either "The Payback (Part 1)" by James Brown or "I've Been Searching So Long" by Chicago. No 1973 yet? I wonder if this is a repeat of last year when 1972 & 1974 got the shaft.
Predictions for the extras:
PIANO MAN-Billy Joel I'VE BEEN SEARCHING SO LONG-Chicago MIDNIGHT AT THE OASIS-Maria Muldaur

March 31, 1973 would be a great one for next week, but I'm really holding out for May. In the several years I've been following these rebroadcasts, I've yet to hear a single show from May '73.
And as much as I love 1972 - my favorite year - I'd be thrilled if they'd hold off till about April 8 or 15...March has been pretty well covered, but I've never heard them play an April '72 show.

Do you guys want to know the optional extras for the show?
I don't want to spoil for those who still want to make a guess at them.

I guess 79 gets treated like the red-haired illigitimate (sp?) child of the milkman--it can't be included in the 70s because in October 1978 the AT40 went to a 4 hour program, and it'sin the 70s NOT 80s so it can't be in at40 the 80s!! It's a shame because that is one of my most favorite years of music--lotsa Donna Summer, Bee Gees, dance, disco, ballads and some country. For those of you who like 70s, try Dick Bartley's Classic Countdown (used to be American Gold), offered very liberally online, and just this past week has 1972 featured. Interestingly enough, he does a whole season of music like Spring 1972. This week he does Spring 1978 and NO I DON'T GET PAID TO PROMOTE BARTLEY. Jeff
