Prediction for next week's show: 1st Guess: 4/22/78 2nd Guess: 4/17/76 Gotta be one of these two years, or maybe 4/16/77? I'm hoping anyway... Answer: D) None of the above. Next week's show is a fourth-time airing: 4/19/1975. www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/04-19-75.pdfAnd the extras are the same as from the last two times: "When Will I Be Loved" - Linda Ronstadt "Sister Golden Hair" - America "The Immigrant" - Neil Sedaka FWIW, count on only one show for the last week of April as well.

Great show but I'll pass on it since I heard it when it previously aired and am in the middle, actually in the last hour of the previous week's show right now.

^Three hours behind Eastern? How's that possible - there's only one time zone in between the two. Because Columbus OH is on Eastern DAYLIGHT Time and we here in AZ remain on Mountain STANDARD Time. Thus Columbus is three hours ahead of us from March until November, and two hours ahead when they are on Eastern STANDARD Time from November 'till March.

Hey mga707, How do you know that wodc is airing the 4 hour show at 4pm mst on Sunday? I don't even see that they broadcast at that time. I really want to make sure I catch the 4 hour show somewhere. Thanks! Wouldn't that be 5:00pm mst since it is 7:00pm est on the WODC website? 4:00pm would be pst. 7PM Eastern Daylight Time, which is 4PM Mountain Standard Time. We don't believe in no stinkin' Daylight Saving Time!

Oh, whee... This could be said to have aired two and a half times before, in 2009 and 2012 also as a standalone, and in 2013 when it was a "B" option, so fewer heard it (4/15/72 was the "A"). A heads up/warning for the easily depressed: this is the show that includes the story of the infamous suicide song "Gloomy Sunday", leading into "Emma". Exactly eight years later (4/16/83), Bob Eubanks guest hosted a show with a story about the same song.

I finally got to listen to my records of last Sunday's 4-3-76 show recorded from WODC. One of the filler during the commercial break in the 2nd hour (ran between 17 and 18 was Elvin Bishop's "Fooled Around & Fell in Love" heard during the same hour at 27!!

I was listening to my dar.fm recording of the 4/3/76 show last night and noticed this as well. WODC actually played the full-length album version, though, while AT40 (as one would expect) played the single. The album version is considerably longer, as the single has an entire verse cut out and a significantly shortened guitar solo. So at least we got to hear two different versions of the song, as opposed to an exact repeat....

I'm guessing that the 4/1/72 optional extras that weren't part of the original show were voiced by Larry last time, while this time one or both will be Casey-voiced. After listening to my dar.fm recording of the 4/1/72 show yesterday, I called this one wrong. All three extras, including the one that wasn't part of the show last time ("The Candy Man"), were Larry-voiced.

With all the talk of the Extras changing in the 1971 show, will the Osmonds commercials still be included? According to the cue sheets from the last time this show aired (in 2012), the Osmonds commercials followed songs #35, #21 and #7. And the cue sheets for this weekend's presentation makes no mention of "vintage" commercials.

Been out of town enjoying the grandkids! Good soccer from my oldest grandson, too! I didn't get a chance to post the shows as early as I wanted but I see some have caught the airings. When there is a 4-hour show in the morning (sometimes we criss-cross the "A" and "B" offering) it runs 8A to 12N. When there is a 4-hour Sunday Night show it now airs at 7:00P. All the extras air in the P.M. along with the regular local commercial load, so the shows will end around 11:15 or so vs. the old after midnight. Now the slots for the AT40 double-shot weekends go like this: 9AM-12NOON (reg) 8AM-12NOON (4hrs) Sunday Night Specials: 8PM-11:00+ (reg) 7PM-11+ (4hrs) If a Saturday night should happen like last year, it'll be the same as a Sunday night. It'll take two optional shows for that to happen. All times Eastern Daylight Probably will be a while before we get a "B" show again after two in a row, but I am anticipating Memorial Weekend specials like the #170s or a May "B." (May-be). Glad to know I'll hear "Shakey Ground" next week!

Listening on WPNC Plymouth NC right now--for some reason the segment with #3 "Joy To the World" and #2 "What's Going On" sounds like it's underwater--very odd-sounding. FWIW, "Joy..." was the slightly-longer LP version and Marvin's song started without the 'party' noises--guess that's the 45 edit?
