Milwaukee Oldies 95.7 FM has not posted next week's show at their usual time of 1 p.m. Eastern on Sunday. Could it be 10/30/71? 10/28/72? 10/26/74? 10/25/75? Or another show? We'll have to wait until later to find out.

That wasn't there when I checked at 1:05... so we're either getting 10/21/78 or 10/28/78... either way, it's a new show. Thanks Carrie!

If so, then there will probably be an alternate choice since those are four hours. Hoping for 1971 myself, as that hasn't been played as an A or a B in three months.

I'm thinking that we'll have a second countdown to look forward to next week-Specifically,it'll be 10/30/71 & I think Premiere has aired it already.

Two shows for "AT40: The '70s" next weekend.
"A" show is from 10/30/1971.
"B" show is from 10/14/1978 which aired back in 2007 but this time the full four-hour version (with Hour #1 still optional) is scheduled.
The optional extras for 1978 are as follows (Halloween theme as you can see)
Hour #1: "Halloween" - John Carpenter Hour #2: "Frankenstein" - Edgar Winter Group Hour #3: "Tubular Bells" - Mike Oldfield Hour #4: "Monster Mash" - Bobby "Boris" Pickett & The Crypt-Kickers

I'm thinking that we'll have a second countdown to look forward to next week-Specifically,it'll be 10/30/71 & I think Premiere has aired it already. October 30th, 1971, has not been aired by Premiere as of yet, but 10/23 was just last year (2013). Guessing we get the 10/30/71. The big question is: which '78 show are they airing? So far, 'B' shows have always been repeat shows, but the only October 1978 shows that have been aired to date are 10/7/78 and 10/14/78 (which was originally aired as a chopped down 3-hour version in 2007). It certainly appears that there's a good chance they break that trend and go with 10/21/78 or 10/28/78. If so, here's hoping that WODC doesn't go to holiday music before next week. EDIT: So it is 10/14/78--but the full 4 hours! Looks like paul and I were posting at the same time...

The first time I am excited for an optional extra- the Halloween theme.
Why would Ed McMann do it?

SFGuy: I asked this question on FB a while back and was told that Part 4 will be sometime next year. There were no specifics but it left open the suggestion that Part 4 will be Memorial Weekend, Part 5 July 4th Weekend, Part 6 Labor Day Weekend. But its also been posted that it might take more parts to get through 1979, so some extra weekends might play in this in 2015. Hopefully we will know in short order. I love these specials. Unless Ken Martin went through and re-edited (and stuffed more goodies in there... always possible!), it can be finished in 6 parts.
