Guys, did anybody else experience a watery-type sound on WJER's stream, today? I know I did.

'Surfin' USA' was heard on each show for the weekend. For the '74 show, as an extra. In the '81 show, it was part of the 'Beach boys medley'.

Next week's 70's offering:
8/29/1970
also, I am assuming these could be aired as well:
#1 Hits of the 1970's Part Three (February 1974 - July 1975) Y2K Special

The 1999-2000 special might be a better fit for 80s affiliates, as it's four hours and the music is more recent, but I'm not sure how many of them will air an alternate show even if Premiere directly offers it to them.

Optional extra predictions for the 8/29/70 show:
* "Lola" by The Kinks * "All Right Now" by Free * "Green-Eyed Lady" by Sugarloaf
Bonus prediction: Of the six extras featured in the 8/29/70 show (Debbie Reynolds, Johnny Mathis, Ray Charles, Gene Pitney, Frank Sinatra and Sonny & Cher)... I'll predict that Sonny & Cher and Frank Sinatra remain in the show.
Extra super bonus prediction: optional extras for the Part 3 of the 70s show:
* "Dancing Machine" by The Jacksons * "When Will I See You Again" by The Three Degrees * "You're The First, My Last, My Everything" by Barry White * "When Will I Be Loved" by Linda Ronstadt

Let me rephrase that. The #1 Hits of the 70s part 3 and Y2K Special ARE being made available next week. I was just saying these could presumably be aired along with the 70s show or in place of I guess if they really wanted to do so. EDIT: the Y2K special is 40 days that changed music. It consist of music from all 4 decades. Not a whole lot of "newer" (late 90s) songs.

Lots of songs to choose from assuming no original AT40 extras are culled from the show:
• "Express Yourself" – Charles Wright and the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band. • "It's Only Make Believe" – Glen Campbell. • "Green-Eyed Lady" – Sugarloaf.
While Ronnie Milsap had an early chart entry with "Loving You is a Natural Thing" (a debut on the bubbling under, eventually peaking at No. 87), my backup prediction is going to be from another of pop music's biggest stars. He's the classic artist best known for hits like "The Joker," "Rock 'n Me" and "Abracadabra." The song and artist …
• "Going to the Country" – Steve Miller Band. (Was at No. 75 this week, eventually peaked at No. 69.)
Another longshot extra: The perennial Halloween favorite, making the first of two chart re-entries:
• "The Monster Mash" – Bobby "Boris" Pickett and the Crypt Keepers. (Got only up to No. 92 this time around; three years later, it was a No. 10 hit.)
--
Predictions for the "No. 1 hits of the 1970s Special Part 3":
• "Dancing Machine" – Jackson 5. • "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me" – Elton John. • "Jazzman" – Carole King. • "When Will I Be Loved" – Linda Ronstadt.
Backups:
• "You're My First, My Last, My Everything" – Barry White. • "I'm Not in Love" – 10cc.

I must have confused it with the 90s decade end special that was a Premiere option at this time last year, and that I heard on iHeart Radio just last week.

Optional Extra Predictions for 8/29/70: 1)."Tammy"-Debbie Reynolds (Original "AT40" Special) 2)."She's A Heartbreaker"-Gene Pitney (Original "AT40" Special) 3)."You Are My Sunshine"-Ray Charles (Original "AT40" Special) I'm thinking that the three remaining "AT40" specials:"Chances Are","Strangers In The Night" & "I Got You Babe" will stay in the broadcast.

On the 8/26/74 show, Casey answers a listener question regarding the top songs of 1974 so far. His response was Barbra Streisand's "The Way We Were", Terry Jacks' "Seasons In The Sun" and Grand Funk Railroad's "The Locomotion". Barbra and Terry ended up #1 and #2 for 1974 when all was said and done, but the #3, #4 and #5 songs of 1974 had all charted by this time in 1974... "Love's Theme" by Love Unlimited Orchestra, "Come and Get Your Love", a #5 hit by Redbone and "Dancing Machine" by The Jacksons wound up higher ranked for the year compared to Grand Funk Railroad. Casey's staff probably underestimated the number of points artists received just for being on the chart rather than weeks at #1.

Is the 1970 show we'll hear a new show ( August 29th 1970) Is it the 8th or 9th Show?

It's the one with that chart date. The only show they don't go by chart date that I know of is 7/4/70.
