I think XM has played at least a couple of those 1972 shows; maybe just last year. As a recall, they were in love with '72 last summer. Last year they did play the special 8/5/72 show, as well as 7/15. 8/12 was aired the previous year.

Getting to that time of year again and my sad refrain: will we EVER get to hear any of those missing Summer 1972 shows? 7/15/72 to 8/19/72, to my knowledge, have never been played (I've been listening since '08). 8/5/72 was a special (though, wow, would I love to hear it - mostly obscure album cuts), so we'll excuse that one. This still leaves 7/15, 7/22, 7/29, 8/12, 8/19. What giveth? Well, Premiere did play 7/8/72 a year ago, and SXM played 7/15/72 last year and 8/12/72 two years ago...but you're right--there has generally been a lack of July and August '72 shows aired, especially by Premiere.

Sharp-eared listeners, take note. I believe the final segment of the 6-23-73 program heard in the U.S. is slightly different than the International version. Let's see if anyone else notices the two differences.

Does WJER usually do this?

Does WJER usually do this? WJER bounces AT40 around their weekend sports schedule. This is likely a makeup for it not being aired this past Saturday. Not a regular airing.

Here's a hint for next weekend's 70s program from Premiere...
There are two new songs (TWO??) in that week's Top 10.

I'll guess June 25, 1977, with June 29, 1974 as a backup. (Note: 6/29/74 was the week they had to "guess" the chart, and there were two new songs in the top 10 on the guessed AT40 chart, but three on the actual Hot 100.)

And with that wonderful news, they have officially put the kibosh on playing shows for the first time from every month omitted so far. Meaning June 1979 will not be played . Any guesses on what year they finally finish playing every month for the first time? BTW, 1979 has the longest drought going right now.

I have three guesses for next week's '70s AT40 program on Premiere radio:
1. June 26, 1971 2. June 25, 1977 3. June 29, 1974
Each of these AT40 program charts have exactly two new songs in the top 10. Other years have either one or no new top 10 songs, or their charts fall in the first week of July, which have mostly special countdowns.

I think it's pretty obvious which show it is. I think the key in Pete's clue is in Parentheses. Remember, it's Sneaky Pete that we are talking about.

Whatever show is welcome , whatever but June 30, 1979 , it´s too hot here for playing Where is Wally with the stations that play the full 4 hour show or not.

I'll go with the 1974 show for next week. Just a hunch. I thought 1979 was a slam-dunk, but no.
I'm going to make another wrong prediction: That we get the 1979 disco special from 7/7/79 the following week, then the regular 1979 show for the next week. I know - same year, back-to-back weeks. Strange, but so are some of Premiere's selections. I really want this to be the case, because I want to hear Supertramp's "The Logical Song" while it's still in the countdown.
We. Shall. See.

I'd love the hear the disco special, since it aired the first weekend of my existence.
