Prediction for next week's show: 1st Guess - 7/15/72 2nd Guess - 7/15/78 1972 would seem to be the front-runner for next week, but a 1978 show wouldn't surprise me since there's only been one '78 show since early March. An even better guess would've been (A) 7/15/72 and (B) 7/15/78.

This week's presentations (Weekend of July 6-7, 2019): July 10, 1976 / "#1 Hits of the 1970s" Part 5 (October, 1976 - August, 1978) - July 4, 2015 (BONUS) - 4 hours (OPTIONAL ORIGINAL HOUR 1). Does anyone know of a station that is playing #1 Hits of the 70's this weekend? (especially the four hour version?) Also: are there any AT40 marathons planned?

All four hours of "#1 Hits of the 1970s" Part 5 should be available here at 1 pm eastern. Is this going to be available for listening after it is done streaming (as it is one of those "ice securenetsystem players)? EDIT: Guess that answers THAT question. I sure hope at least one station plays the #1 Hits of the 1970s - Part 5 sometime this weekend (all I would need to hear is Hour 1, since I tuned in at the very beginning of Hour 2).

Looking forward to hearing both! A 'dud single from an acclaimed LP' pick for each: Stevie Wonder's "Superwoman", from his first album where he had full creative control, "Music Of My Mind"; and "Prove It All Night", a somewhat odd first single choice ("Badlands" or "The Promised Land" would have been more obvious choices to me) from Springsteen's long-awaited (nearly 3 years since "Born To Run") "Darkness On the Edge Of Town".

Was Hippie Radio the only station that has #1 Hits of the 70's on this weekend? Anyone else know of a station playing that Ken Martin Special? I used to listen to holiday specials on WODC, but they no longer play Casey.

I used to listen to holiday specials on WODC, but they no longer play Casey. WOON Woonsocket RI (Sat 1pm EDT) played last 3 hours of Part 4 Memorial Day weekend. WTKU Atlantic City (Sun 8am EDT) aired all 4 hours of Part 4 the next day.

I usually don't bother commenting on edits, whether original or Premiere--I mean, what's the point?--but this week's edit on "Turn the Beat Around" was just plain awful, not to mention 'clunky'. Skipping right over both the trumpet and the guitar and going right to the flute player!
