Fair enough, I just went and listened to the two side by side. Yes, the original show does drop "bottle" a bit, but more what I was referring to was there is practically no space between Casey's "bottle" and their "Got no time to.....". So when I heard it this morning, it sounded more jarring than it is. Almost as if Casey committed the radio sin of speaking over the lyric. But then again, at that point in the history of the countdown, Casey did sometimes squeeze his words in. One of my favorite examples is in the debut show and his intro to "Silver Bird". He gets everything out just before he sounds like hes going to run out of breath. I should have gone and found another instance of Casey saying "bottle" and edited that into the mix. C'est La Vie.

Song is playing right now on CKWW. Sounded fine to me. Good job!

Nah, you do a phenomenal job.

When do you think they will do 1973 again? Don't know, but since 1973 was last aired in mid-August, either 10/13 or 10/27/73 could be played in October (10/6/73 was a special and 10/20 was aired just last year.) It's also possible that something from 1973 could be a "B" if paired with 1970 or 1979.

Can anyone predict when the next 79' show might air? My fave from 1979 ("Driver's Seat" by Sniff n' The Tears ) will be fading from the charts in October 1979

Can anyone predict when the next 79' show might air? My fave from 1979 ("Driver's Seat" by Sniff n' The Tears ) will be fading from the charts in October 1979 In October sometime? The last two shows with "Driver's Seat" are 10/6 and 10/13/79. Premiere has never played either of those, so I actually think there's a decent chance one of them could be aired, as it'll have been two months or more since their last 1979 AT40s (that year was last heard as an A in July, and as a B in early August.)

WLDE yesterday has just managed to air optional extras for 1971 airing awkwardly after segment 2 instead of end of hr, and show started around 7:30AM.

Right--I would say there's a very good chance that one of the two shows you mention will be the next '79 show. Both shows have been aired on SXM in the last 3-4 years, so they should have both been remastered to some degree. The 10/20/79 was aired in 2011 (hours 2-4 only), but they have yet to repeat a 1979 weekly countdown as an 'A' show.

My optional extra predictions for the 9/30/78 show: * "Strange Way" by Firefall * "I Just Wanna Stop" by Gino Vanelli * "Sharing The Night Together" by Dr. Hook
Besides 10/6 & 10/13/79 being available as new shows, these shows are also new according to the AT40Fan website: 1970: 10/3 1972: 10/21 & 10/28 ("My Ding-A-Ling" by Chuck Berry was #1 for both of those weeks) 1973: 10/6 (special show) 1974: 10/26 1975: 10/4 (special show) & 10/18 1977: 10/22 1978: 10/21 & 10/28 (but we're getting 9/30/78 this weekend so these appear very unlikely) 1979: 10/6, 10/13 & 10/27

This week on WTOJ you'll hear an UNEDITED version of the 1978 countdown. This was the last week for the 3 hour show and AT40 needed to edit a lot of songs to make it fit. However, this week on WTOJ, no Premiere edits, no AT40 edits. Every song as released on 45. Radio station edits will be there, so you'll get the 3:22 version of "Who Are You", but that's what you heard on Top 40 radio in 1978. Yes, the countdown will run long, but that's OK. Starts 9 AM Eastern, Sunday morning.

Just wanted to clarify that for some of us purists
