WMVL skipped the last segment of Hour 2, somehow got ABC News to fire, had some dead air, and then started Hour 3 at 8:45. Lets see what happens at 9 when ABC News is supposed to fire

ABC News didnt go at 9am. Now all 3 optionals have played back to back to back before the final segment to make up for the time lost.

After the third extra, we are getting "Off The Wall" by MJ rather than the final segment. And it is only 9:45am! Automation is a hoot.

WPNC just started the four-hour version of 5/12/1979 show. I can't get them today for some strange reason. The ad runs but then just...nothing! (hour later) Working now! At least I'll hear the final quarter of the show.

I don't know if this belongs here but The Billboard Awards are May 17 and it would be nice if the show heads would acknowledge that it was Casey and American Top 40 who used their magazine every week for nearly 25 years and like most award shows there is a part where they mentioned who has past in the last year. They should give a tip of the hat to the man who brought the name Billboard to us every weekend on the radio.

Two things while listening to the 5/12/1979 show...First, John Travolta was in Brooklyn on 86 Street not Queens, I was there! Second, Casey was on the Dianah Shore show promoting the 1979 yearbook. Sitting next to him was Linda Clifford and performed her disco version of Bridge Over Troubled Water... feels like yesterday seeing that show and Casey was loving Linda's moves.

Even if the scene was shot in Brooklyn, the movie was supposedly set in Bay Ridge, Queens. Still have that yearbook, wish they had continued the format each year!
