KOKZ did a great job running the 11/25/78 countdown & they played all the optional extras.

WJER doesn't have the 11-25-78 show on, at its scheduled time, even the paltry 3-hour edition.

Anybody know of any other station that will play Hour 1 of the 11-25-1978 Show? I had a bad connection for KOKZ, missed #40 & 39, and lots of buffering the rest of the way. Have been gone all morning, so didn't have a chance to check out the WPNC broadcast. Thanks.

WPNC will play all four hours of the 1978 show, according to the station's owner. Did WPNC play all the optional extras as well?

WPNC will play all four hours of the 1978 show, according to the station's owner. Did WPNC play all the optional extras as well? Definitely the first three; DAR.fm's lag means the end of the 4th hour isn't available yet. A bit scratchy-sounding on DAR, though.

Don't know what the problem with the PDs who won't offer the listeners the full 4-hour '70s shows. Very surprised that there hasn't been more of an outcry about it.

Remembering One Bad Apple as the 23 rd number 1 song of the '70's and not being aired for some odd reason on 99x in NYC on the original broadcast.

I am listening to the long-distance dedication from Emma to Greg. Was Emma from Portland, ME or Portland, OR? Who knows. Since the song was the Supremes' "You Can't Hurry Love," their paths ended up crossing again when Phil Collins remade that song four years later. In fact, the song debuted four years to the WEEK after this LDD--how synchronous. I hope that they didn't have to wait that long, though.

I loved the mental picture of Greg riding off in his red Camaro after getting evicted from his pad! Yesh, he's a 'keeper', all right--bet he sported a mullet! I'm sure it was probably left-coast Portland since it's so much bigger than right-coast Portland (out here in the west we don't even consider the 'other' Portland!), since back then even a guy like Greg could almost afford to live there. Nowadays he would not be nearly 'hip' enough for "Portlandia"!
