For next week, I'd say...if we don't get 5/7/88 next week, then odds are we probably will for the weekend of May 9. Both 5/7/88 and 5/8/82 have yet to air - thus, if we get 88 next week, 82 seems a good bet to follow. An even better candidate for the weekend of May 9th might be 5/10/86--that's another show that has yet to be aired by Premiere.

70's MAY 7TH 1988 NEW 80's MAY 7TH 1977 NEW 5/7/77 would be a no-go--that show was played a year ago. Is there only going to be one 70s show next week? 5/7/77 could be a B, paired with 5/8/71 or 5/6/72 (though both years were played in early April, so it may be early for that), or 5/5/79. If there is only one, then 5/4/74 or 5/8/76 would work. Maybe also 5/5/73, but it's been longer since we've heard 1974 or 76 (as an A).

For May 23-24, I'll guess:
70s: 5/26/1973 (first guess-new) or 5/20/1972 (second guess-aired in 2008), OR the next installment of #1 Hits of the 70s. 80s: 5/21/1983, OR Triathlon of Rock 'n' Roll.
With the specials apparently being offered as the B shows, there will probably be only one regular. An unaired show from 1973 seems like the best guess, but last year on Memorial Day they offered a 1971 countdown as the only alternative to the #1 hits special, the first of several in that series, so I could see 1972 happening as well, especially as that particular show, while not new, was aired pretty far back.
80s was an easier if not necessarily correct guess; 5/21/83 has never been played, and for the last several months 1983 and 1984 have been the only years that have been offered without a regular B show.

^ There's also the fact that 5/19/84 is THIS weekend's B show, and 5/26 was hosted by CVD, so...we can probably scratch 84 for next week.

70's MAY 26TH 1973 NEW 80's MAY 25TH 1985 NEW Well, it's already been announced that 5/24/80 is the show for next week along with the Triathlon Special from 1988, but just an FYI that 5/25/85 would not have been a new show--it was aired back in 2013.

With 6/11/88 as next week's A show, after pondering the choices for the second week of June, this is what I'm thinking for the rest of the month: (And these are just guesses... ) June 13: 6/13/87. Has aired twice, though not since 2009, and a month before Larry Morgan started on. 1987 also currently has the longest drought; their last A show was 3/28. The other two weeks have both aired after 2009, and the next "new" show would be 7/4... June 20: 6/15/85. The 1988 show proves - yet again - that Premiere has no qualms about stretching a couple extra days off the week/date. 1985 has the second-longest drought, and this show would be new... June 27: 6/26/82. 1981 would have a longer drought by this point, BUT: Only one available July 1982 show hasn't aired since 2011 (7/31), and holding '82 to August is also out, since August 1982 has aired for each of the past four years. July 1981 has considerably better options.

The other two weeks have both aired after 2009, and the next "new" show would be 7/4... Of note is the fact that reportedly Premiere doesn't have a properly remastered or playable copy of the regular 7/4/87 show (they have played a special that originally aired that same week.) I don't know if that's still true, but even if not holding off on a 1987 A show until July is still a pretty long drought, so we should hopefully be hearing that year in June. There are only two regular Casey hosted AT40s from July 1981; one of them (7/25/81) was originally going to be aired in 2013 but was pulled at the last minute due to lack of a quality copy; 8/1/81 (also never previously aired) was substituted. Again, I don't know if that's been fixed, but even if not 7/18/81 would work; it's a rerun, but a long ago one (played only once before, in 2008). If there is no June 1982 A show, then there's probably nothing more from that year until late July or August. It would likely then have to be 7/31/82 (played in 2010) or 8/14, which is the first of the four August 1982 countdowns aired in the last four years (incidentally, that month was never played at all until 2011.) There are no unaired Casey AT40s left from the second half of 1982.

I don't know if that's still true, but even if not holding off on a 1987 A show until July is still a pretty long drought, so we should hopefully be hearing that year in June. Really now? I wasn't aware of this. Well, since both 7/11 and 7/18 were hosted by Charlie Van Dyke, and 7/25 aired last year, this means that either: 1) We cross our fingers that they've since obtained 7/4. 2) The next show will either be a June repeat OR not until August 1 at the earliest. ( @ the prospect of the latter.) There are only two regular Casey hosted AT40s from July 1981; one of them (7/25/81) was originally going to be aired in 2013 but was pulled at the last minute due to lack of a quality copy; 8/1/81 (also never previously aired) was substituted. Again, I don't know if that's been fixed, but even if not 7/18/81 would work; it's a rerun, but a long ago one (played only once before, in 2008). Well, since there was apparently a similar situation with 5/28/77, and now that one's airing even as we speak... But yes, 7/18 would be just as do-able. Agree about 7/31; my guess is if there's no June, and no July, then we get no 1982 until 9/4 (last aired in 2008, and actually my introduction to this series).
