Did WQSR cut out for anyone else just as Casey was about to unveil #1? All of my other iheartradio stations are playing fine, but Jack is silent... Oh, that's what happened, thought it was something I did. First time I ever tried to record from Jack-FM.

Half way through - about 5 of these songs were pretty brutal so far, but Jack computer great so far. Fingers crossed.
Starpoint was the worst. Conga is a close second. Most others are great though.

We played Conga in High School marching band, so it always brings back some good memories. And yes, knock on wood, we will get the 3rd week in a row of no fill song overlaps on Jack

We have an overlap. The awful Kelly Clarkson into the equally awful A-Ha.

Yeah. I can't say I was upset about that a-Ha extra being cut off. Still annoying that it's a problem, but I can live with it if it's the only one tonight. Anyone else notice the station PSA and the Jack Legal ID firing off simultaneously?

Anyone else notice the station PSA and the Jack Legal ID firing off simultaneously? I heard it. Why does WQSR even play artists like Kelly Clarkson or Black Eye Peas (heard this a few weeks ago that interrupted a song in the countdown) during AT40? These artists aren't the type that people who listen to AT 40 listen to.

They often play "Been Caught Stealing", and Kelly Clarkson quite a bit I think. It's just a computer, they say.....

WQSR plays online filler "Faith" by George Michael (at least this song fits the AT 40 audience) after the AT40 extra and it didn't cut into the countdown like I thought it would. So only one error today.

These fill songs, if you notice, are songs in the music library that clock in at exactly 3 minutes, 3:30, 4 minutes, 4:30, etc etc. In theory, when a 3 minute commercial stopset begins, one of the 3 minute songs should begin, so that the song ends just as the stopset ends. While these fill songs aren't in line with AT40 The 80s, they are in line with WQSR's regular playlist.

If you ever listen to WQSR outside of AT40, you'll notice it's the same set of fill songs all the time.

Maybe WQSR should play the same 4 songs every week that fits and wouldn't cut into the regular show.

Good point, Brett. I get so used to hearing those same songs. Sometimes I do listen to WQSR just for fun on iheart. Well, just a few patches to do from my flawless Madison Magic show from earlier today. (Comcast dropped my internet for a minute)...

Christmas night error # 1: frequent fill song "Been Caught Stealing" by Janes Addiction cut off the opening of the show as well as a good chunk of "Push It" (edited to correct which fill song it was)
Christmas night error # 2: "All Star" by Smash Mouth cut off everything but the last few moments of "Just Like Heaven"
