"Can You Feel It", by The Jacksons, the third single from their "Triumph" album (#77 on the Hot 100). Based on how much you've seen the Amazon.com 2018 Holidays advertising campaign, I'm surprised it didn't become the third Top-40 single from the "Triumph" album. Man, was disco music dead in the water by 1981, or what? "Can You Feel It" was #1 on Billboard's dance/disco chart, #6 in the UK, and I know this because it has its own Wikipedia article. I've always liked the video too. Similar to "Burn Rubber (On Me)" and "Fantastic Voyage". Huge 1981 Dance/Soul hits that did not make the top 40 on the 'Hot 100'.

How about songs whose chart runs lasted for over 20 weeks, but we still couldn't see on AT40? "Silent Morning" - Noel (#47, 1987, 22 weeks on the Hot 100) "This Beat Goes On/Switchin' to Glide" - The Kings (#43, 1980, 23 weeks on the Hot 100) I remember "Silent Morning". WAVA (Power 105) in Washington DC played it constantly. South Florida's three top 40 / dance stations played the bejeezus out of Silent Morning. Another freestyle song from 1987 which hung on the charts for a while but didn't make the top 40 is Dreamin' by Will To Power. They were based in Miami and got a ton of airplay in a big freestyle market. Dreamin' spent 16 weeks on the chart and peaked at 50 on the Hot 100.

Cannot stop listening to this since I discovered it yesterday www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_M2_Bk1fuEpeaked at #43 and would have been a Top 40 hit for Barry Gibb in what was a really tough year for him.

Though that was never heard on AT40, I recall Casey mentioning it in 1980 when Teri was on the chart with her KC (as in Sunshine Band) duet, "Yes, I'm Ready".
