Although 11/1/1986 has been repeated several times, at least that chart date won't be aired by Premiere (I know it's a different chart too).
Too bad 11/4/1989 wasn't picked; I remember that airing a few years back.

Gives us 80s fans the rest of the decade. 1988 would also be in play this time of year too.

Also notably Rick Dees hasn't played 1985 since last July.. but I guess it won't matter since AT40 airs '85 in playlist. Nowadays Rick Dees 80s pattern is 1986, 1987, and 1988.

We have had 1989 bonuses at times this year as well, but it's been mostly the same couple of shows that were already being played as such.

App has been updated to: November 1, 1986 (1986 again? Well, at least last week was a special), October 31, 1992, and October 31, 2009. Even though it just aired 2 years ago, the 2009 show was a lot more enjoyable than I though it would be. And I had forgotten how much the quality of music had improved since 2008. Not nearly as much rap.

What song is parodied in the intro to the 10/31/1992 show?

What song is parodied in the intro to the 10/31/1992 show? It was actually a commercial that was parodied. Back around then, there were popular Gatorade commercials entitled, "Be Like Mike" featuring Michael Jordan. Rick parodied the song which was created for the commercial spot.

KZOY is playing 11/07/1987 this morning. The sure shot is "Need You Tonight" by INXS. This show was aired last year and this is the 9th time it has aired in retro-Dees.

I know one of the 2000 shows from last year was, just couldn’t remember which one.

I knew it sounded familiar but just couldn't place it.

Something interesting about the 2000 show: by then, "featuring" was fairly common on the charts. However, there weren't any artists billed as "featured" on this countdown. We wouldn't see any until 4 more weeks when "Stan" by Eminem f/Dido would debut. It's a dropper on Feb. 3-4, 2001, and the following week, "Southside" by Moby f/Gwen Stefani debuts. How far back from today can you go when there's a chart with no one featured? Anything more recent than 2/3/01?
