Has anybody listened to the 2003 show yet? I am listening on KKMK and it is not a regular countdown - it is an all-request special. The first song played was "Rock Your Body" by Justin Timberlake. When I listened back in 2003 this weekend, there was a regular countdown played. I did some more checking on this show. This is the same show that retro-Dees ran in 2017. This show did run like this (all request) on 09/06/2003. What confused me is that I do have rankings for this 09/06 show that don't match what is being played this weekend. My best guess is that when Rick did the 09/13 show the following week, he gave previous week positions that seemed logical for the 09/06 weekend because they didn't match the 08/30 positions. I wrote them down on 09/13 because I assumed that I had just missed a show, but there is no evidence that this "missing" show ever aired.

Apps are updated. This week's shows: September 5, 1987 September 8, 1990 September 6, 2003 Hooray for a 1990 show! Although I enjoyed all these, my favorite was the Jan. 10, 2015 bonus hour(s). So many great songs I hadn't heard in years: "Black Widow," "Prayer In C," "Waves," "Sledgehammer" and "Blame."

So they're finally changing up or adding new "bonus hours" after playing the same few for each decade over and over for more than two years? 2015 is an interesting choice as it's much more recent than any show Rick has replayed in full (only a few on D2K have postdated 2009, and I think none after 2012), and many of the songs included are in that awkward spot in which they've faded from regular rotation, but are far too recent for much "classic hits" or other nostalgia-type replay.

yep while text says Jan 3, 2015, it is actually Jan 10, 2015CHR, it starts at #30. I agree Im surprised with the new change of bonus tracks. Maybe i should look over for 90s and 80s bonus if it changes..

I noticed up until recently the bonus hours (at least for the 90s shows) always started at #26. The last time I listened to a bonus hour the first song was #31. So It appears the bonuses have changed.

The apps have now been updated, earlier than I thought: Sept 13, 1986 Sept 11, 1993 Sept 15, 2001CHR
1986 is last year's repeat, (still overplayed 1986), 1993 was 2013 repeat, 2001 was last played 2017

On the 1993 show, Rick played clips of Tammy Wynette and Roberta Flack as older women who hit the top 10 before playing Tina Turner, who hit the top 10 at age 53. Interestingly enough, the Roberta song was a cover of ANOTHER similar case - while not with the same song, Starship - with Grace Slick on vocals (she was 47 at the time), did the original of "Set The Night To Music" - which was on the same album as the #1 hit "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now".
Dusty Springfield was another fairly recent one at the time, with her Pet Shop Boys collaboration "What Have I Done To Deserve This?".
Cher would join the list at age 52 when "Believe" hit the top 10 in 1999.

Looks like Janet Jackson gets a triple play this week ("When I Think Of You", "If" and "Someone To Call My Lover").

I really enjoyed the 2001 show. Although I heard it the first time around when it was played on KIIS, I'm sure a lot of stations didn't receive their CDs on time since flights were grounded most of that week.

KZOY is playing 09/10/88 this morning. This show was played in 2018, I believe, but the host is Rick, not Bruce Vidal. No sure shot but they played a montage of 4 Richard Marx songs (his first 4).

Seems kind of odd to air Sept 10, 1988 in Sept 21, 2019 weekend, and also aired on Sept 1, 2018 weekend as well
