Listened to the 2007 show today. Pretty dark period in music to say the least. Many depressing songs and lots of negativity. Glad to hear many of those songs again, it's been awhile but just a really bad musical period imo.

We seem to be flipping back and forth between 1986 and 1988 as of late. So I guess we get another 1988 show this weekend?
Come on Rick, give us a 1989 show for a change.

According to this study, you're not wrong (though I don't necessarily agree it makes for a "bad musical period"). And that trend continues today. As for the scheduling of Rick's shows, next week would be a good time to stop the 1986/88 ping-pong, as we get Casey from February 1988. 1985, 87, and 89 are all options. Playing 1990 this week was a nice detour into an underplayed year, albeit not my favourite musically.

KZOY is playing 02/10/90 this morning, as expected. The sure shot is "All Around the World" by Lisa Stansfield. "Lisa Stansfield from Rochdale, Indiana"? WTF?

well, it's good for new 1988, but I see they're still not letting go with shuffling 1986 and 1988 back and forth though..
Oh when they notably played 2007, they didn't play optional extras, and there were mentions of grammys on that weekend

Happily, the WT40 pendulum that had been swinging between 1986 and 1988 has finally stopped.
