On rick dees´s official facebook site / wall, an official explanation of the existence of the app and the ceasing of activity of rick.com website is explained. www.facebook.com/RickDees1/?fref=tsThe app, which is impossible to download outside usa, is the only option , the so little number of stations is the other one. And that is all folks.

Both the 80s and 90s shows featured this week have the same problem on app: Hour One Segment Three will NOT load. So frustrating.. Get to hear a few songs and that's it. I sent a message to Rick Dees Facebook page but doubt I'll get a response but worth a try.

I now noticed that they're finally playing 2002 show: (after 2001 show after H3S1) just starting with #17 the calling - wherever you will go, #16 nickelback - how u remind me, #15 tweet - oops (oh my), #14 goo goo dolls - herre is gone, #13 enrique iglesias escape, #12? kylie minogue cant get you out of my head, #11 no doubt hella good, #10 nsync girlfriend nelly remix, #9 linkin park in the end, #8 vanessa carlton a thousand miles, #7 blurry, #6 underneath your clothes, #5 ashanti foolish, #4 aint it funny (ft ja rule) and also played aint it funny version, #3 fat joe whats luv, #2 all you wanted, #1 dont let me get me For the full Top 40 (or Top 50), scroll down to page 78 in the May 3, 2002 issue of R&R. And fortunately for this week, Rick did use the actual published chart: www.americanradiohistory.com/Archive-RandR/2000s/2002/RR-2002-05-03.pdf

I sent a message to Rick Dees Facebook page but doubt I'll get a response but worth a try. I had that experience playing the 90s show: it kept getting stuck at the end of every other segment, and a limit of six skips means you can't jump ahead enough to hear anything close to the entire show so I just quit. (Didn't bother with the 80s since we just got 1986 from Casey.) At least the 2000s show has worked well, which is the one I wanted to hear most since that decade is new to the rotation.

Just looking at the shows played this year, it is amazing to me how the 90s are a skipfest and yet for the 80s and 2000s, I can count on my thumbs how many times a song has been skipped. And not all the songs skipped in the 90s are rap. Has skipped Dr. Dre and Naught by Nature so far in this week's 90s show from 1993. But there is a lot more rap in the 2000s and he is not skipping songs. So what happened between say 1999 where he skipped Eminem in last week's 90s show(thank God btw) and 2002 where he might have have skipped one song in last week's 2K show?(and there were a lot more rap songs in that one). Not only do you have to keep track of which chart he used be it Cashbox although those shows are not offered(however I have shows from that time frame), R&R, a modified version of R&R, his own chart, this that and the other. But you have to keep track of which chart he is referencing historically. Sometimes it is Billboard, R&R or whatever. In this show, he played the David Crosby/Phil Collins duet and afterward, said that was first time David Crosby had made the countdown. "We looked it up", he said after playing a Crosby, Stills & Nash clip so it discounts their group efforts. But Crosby did did have an AT40 hit with Graham Nash in 1972. So in this case, he must be limiting it to R&R as far as what chart he is referencing when he says that. Let's see if he is consistent when later on he goes into his birthday segment and says xx years ago, such and such was #1. He always references Billboard when he does that. WT40 challenge is Neneh Cherry. Was wrong about Adam Levine last week in that challenge. Not wrong this time! Of course I heard her big hit and great song "Buffalo Stance" in the 5/13/89 CT40 I heard the other day. There you go. Silly Spin Doctors at #22. Where are they this week on AT40? Frickin #1. Never in a million years is anyone ever going to convince me that "Two Princes" was as big as AT40 made that song out to be! Even better if he had skipped it! Skipped Def Leppard.

D2K will be may 19, 2012 , that one has been updated. That is what app says.
But compared with the show I have, the real date is May 12, 2012 CHR, with Usher in the second segment of hour 1.
some shows have updated from 5.15 EST, CHR and D2K...

All three Dees shows have been changed, to June 4,1988, May 15 1993, and May 12 (19?), 2012. For the 2000s show I too am surprised that they chose something that recent (thought they'd stop after 2009 or so.)

Thank you and the 1993 show is the one that I posted about above that everyone seemed to ignore. Listening to the 5/19/12 D2K show now. WT40 challenge answer Katy Perry? Unless my memory fails me about the 2009 shows from the D2K series, they have gone into the late Casey career policy of going from one song to the next without any talking by Rick every now and then between 2009 and 2012.

Not just from 2009 to 2012, but same thing has done for current shows as occasion continuously. For 2000s show to do 2012, im little surprised, though my imagination would have been 2011, i kinda liked listening to big time rush first top 40 hit. For bonus of nov 8, 2008 played last week, not just after 2000s show, but also other formats as well. that was from #24-#1. Too bad i never bothered to listen to 80s and 90s since that was repeat, but for me its been awhile since i listened to 80s and 90s, i might want to listen to those a little.

Listening to the 2012 show now, and noticing the jingles are different. They sound more traditional (like the mid-80s shows) and less obnoxious like 1992-. When were these changed? The ones used from 1992 were used for the longest time it seemed. D2k Bonus hours this week are from 11/14/09.

But these old jingles brought back in mid 2013, not sure exactly when, as that new jingle sometimes continued current shows as well
