All of this is great news as long as 1984 and 1989 are featured again in late December.

Mark and Alan each missed a Big 40 Countdown at least once. When was the last time Nina missed a Big 40 Countdown?

A little bit off-topic but it looks like they expanded their playlist a bit. Just today I heard them play "Young Turks" by Rod Stewart" and "She Works Hard For The Money" by Donna Summer, which they use to not play outside of any specials or countdowns. I also heard "Sometimes A Fantasy" by Billy Joel and "Rock Wit'cha" by Bobby Brown earlier in the week. Those aren't all of course but it nice to finally see them do that.

To get back on topic, 1982 is up for next week.

Next week it'll be all about 1987, so thankfully no 11/14 repeat!

I think it will, considering the 2nd is closer to the 31st, and there's five Fridays this month, so they could squeeze in a super late October chart like that one.

I'm going with 11/7/87 with Tiffany at the top. Tough to imagine the replays Monday morning and Tuesday evening (11/6) from a Halloween date. I guess we will see in a few hours, when either Yes or Michael Bolton debut at #40.

Either way, "Causing a Commotion" from Madonna (at #2) would be the last peak position before the #1 single.
About the replays of a Halloween chart on November 5 and 6, that same scenario would happen if it were 1981 being covered this week. If this were a calendar year with November 3rd on a Friday, which 1987 chart would they cover, 10/31 or 11/7?

Last year November 3 was a Friday, and two weeks later (11/17-19) they did 11/14/87. Furthermore, Sirius XM defaulted even farther to the earlier date in this week's Casey AT40. They chose 10/29/77, when datewise we're closer to 11/5/77 by now.

Next week it'll be all about 1980, just one year earlier than this week's.
