This week's Extras seem to reflect the foreign trend at the moment, the foreign trend moreso than the British Invasion - there's one Canadian act (Men Without Hats), one domestic (Michael Sembello), one Dutchman (Taco), and the Human League are the Brits.

Add "Don't Pay the Ferryman", "She's a Beauty", and "Don't Let it End" to the list of songs we won't be hearing at their peak position (#34, #10, #6, respectively) - I forgot to account for July 4 special weeks where the show isn't the chart. Also...fun little fact for y'all that I discovered: "Juicy Fruit", the week's #1 Soul song, is a certified million-seller...yet it only got to #45 on the Hot 100. It did, however, spend eight weeks atop that there Soul chart.

I'll say a 1986 show for next week.

Aren't we do a 1988 show? I don't think there are too many shows left for '88 since Casey left in July or early August 1988?

Yeah, I'm thinking June 25, 1988 for next week's show. And that could be the last show from that year, since I doubt they'd run the Hall & Oates show from five weeks later. They might, however, run Casey's last show, although I don't think so, since they've kind of overdone that one.
So perhaps they'll hold off on 1988 until July. That's why my back-up prediction is June 29, 1985, since it's been even longer (though just a week) since we've heard from that year. But I'm hoping for June 25 because "Foolish Beat" was #1 and that's one of my favorite songs of 1988.

I think '85 is more likely for next week - the only reason I can see to do '88 next week is if they possibly plan on another re-run of his last show from August 6, as there would be just enough room to squeeze that in and not be too excessive. Otherwise, whichever '88 show comes next will be the last one this year, regardless if it's June or July.
So I'll reverse Chris's guesses and predict June 29, 1985 for next week, with June 25, 1988 as the back-up.

Is the WQSR stream cutting in and out for everyone tonight, or just me? I can't count how many times I've had to restart the stream tonight.

I actually just came home and discovered my recording of the show from WQSR was only about the first 5 min. and then nothing.

No, it worked fine for me. The only bummer was they didn't play the optional extra from Hour 2 (what was it?).

I thought WHNN only played the 70s show. I love the Premier playlists. They make it so easy to edit out the commercials, etc. If WHNN is now playing the 80s show instead of the 70s show that will make it easier for me. Anyone know about this?

I actually just came home and discovered my recording of the show from WQSR was only about the first 5 min. and then nothing. OMG.. That's gotta be a bummer. This happened to me a couple of times just as well. Then it's hard trying to scramble around looking for other broadcast stations and times. Hopefully you have found the source of that problem and it doesn't happen very often.

WHNN only plays the 80s show occasionally; otherwise they usually play the 70s version.
